R.I.P Zoran Romic

(11 October 1964 – 31 March 2012)

Members of the ARIA community would like to express their sadness over the passing of Chocolate Starfish guitarist Zoran Romic, on 31st March 2012 aged 47, after a year-long battle with cancer.

Chocolate Starfish rose to fame in the 90’s, releasing two albums, Chocolate Starfish (1994) and Box (1995) which produced several successful singles. The group disbanded in 1998 amidst personal differences, but reformed in 2010.

In 2003, along with drummer Darren Danielson, Romic founded the Fur Group, which included an independent record label along with touring and artist management companies. They managed the careers of Boom Crash Opera, Pseudo Echo and producer Charles Fisher amongst others.

ARIA would like to extend its deepest sympathies to friends and family of Zoran Romic.
