Aussie trifecta on the ARIA
Albums Charts
In this week's ARIA Albums
Chart, two Aussie albums have returned to the Top 3 to join the
reigning Australian No.1 Album, Wayward Angel, by Kasey Chambers.
This Aussie Trifecta - made up of Kasey, Pete Murray
and Jet - has been rejoined by The John Butler Trio up from No.9 to
No.5 this week, making 4 of the top 5 by Australian acts.
These four Aussie acts continue
to appeal to Australian audiences after already holding the No.1 position
this year for a total of 12 weeks collectively.
This unprecedented result
will ensure that the 2004 ARIA No.1 Chart Awards
will be the biggest ever - with 11 Australian Acts qualifying to receive
an ARIA No.1 Chart Award for 8 singles and 8 albums.
The ARIA No.1 Chart Awards
recognise Australian recording artists and their respective labels
for their outstanding success on either the ARIA albums or singles
charts. The award presentation is designed to raise public awareness
