Today's ARIA No.1 Chart Awards presentation will see four (4) Australian recording artists, and their respective labels, awarded for their outstanding success on either the ARIA singles or albums charts and, in the case of one artist, for both her singles and album.

The past two weeks have witnessed two Australian albums, 'Vulture Street' and 'Innocent Eyes' holding both the No 1 & No 2 positions on the ARIA Albums chart - a fitting lead-up to this years ARIA No.1 Chart Awards celebration.
Added only last year, the ARIA No 1 Chart Awards have become a key fixture on the Australian music industry's calendar. An awards presentation designed to raise the public's awareness of Australian music and recognise the business skills of Australian record companies who helped get their artists to the coveted No. 1 position.
'Homegrown music' is unique, it is thriving and playing a significant role in Australian culture and the ARIA charts are showing that Australians are enjoying and buying Australian music.
To be hosted by entertainment and media identity Richard Wilkins, the 'No. 1's' will pay tribute to the vitality of local talent and the music that record labels are developing and promoting in an ever-increasing competitive market.
