ARIA Collab – PRIVACY COLLECTION STATEMENT

ARIA is committed to protecting your privacy and handling all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Collection Statement explains what personal information ARIA will collect in the application form for the ARIA Collab program, the purpose of its collection and how it will be stored and handled by ARIA.

Type of Information

As part of the application process to participate in the ARIA Collab program, ARIA will request and collect personal information about you including your name, mailing address and other contact details for persons associated with the application process and ARIA Collab. ARIA will also collect sensitive information about you, the artist and the artist team including information about an individual’s gender identity, cultural and ethnic background, sexual orientation and disability. ARIA will only use sensitive information for the primary purpose it was collected for. If you do not want to share sensitive information, you can choose ‘Prefer not to complete’ or ‘Information available’ on the application form.

PURPOSE and USE

The ARIA Collab program will provide individuals the opportunity to participate in a workshop with record producers to assist with the production of new sound recordings. The application form requests certain personal information to assist ARIA in carrying out the following primary functions:

If you or persons that you are submitting the application on behalf of and other potential participants in the ARIA Collab program do not want to share certain personal information with ARIA, then please contact ARIA to discuss alternative options. If you and such persons choose not to share certain information with ARIA, please be aware it may not be possible for ARIA to process the application.        

STORAGE

For the application form, ARIA is using Google Forms. Use of Google Forms is subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. For customers in Australia, Google processes data in servers based overseas – please see the Google Privacy Policy for further information.

Raw data and personal information collected via the forms will only be accessible by authorised ARIA personnel, authorised Music Australia personnel and members of the ARIA Collab judging panel, who will only use this information for the approved purposes set out above and are bound by confidentiality constraints. ARIA will not provide the personal information collected from you to anyone else, unless otherwise indicated above, you have given consent for us to do this, or we are authorised or required to do so by law.

ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information that you have provided from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The personal information will be stored on a password protected server and password protected or restricted files which are secured from unauthorised access.
