ARIA Hall of Fame – PRIVACY COLLECTION STATEMENT
ARIA is committed to protecting your privacy and handling all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Collection Statement explains what personal information ARIA will collect in the application form, the purpose of its collection and how it will be stored and handled by ARIA.
Type of Information
As part of the application process to be considered for induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame, ARIA will request and collect personal information from you, including your name and your contact details (including email), and the names of the artist/s to be considered for induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
PURPOSE
The application form requests certain personal information to assist ARIA in carrying out the following primary functions:
- to determine the eligibility of applicants for the ARIA Hall of Fame;
- to assess applications for the ARIA Hall of Fame;
- to contact applicants and artists about their application;
- to contact successful applicants and artists about the opportunity to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame; and
- to provide applicants and artists with information about the ARIA Hall of Fame.
If you or persons that you are submitting the application on behalf of do not want to share certain personal information with ARIA, then please contact ARIA to discuss alternative options. If you and such persons choose not to share certain information with ARIA, please be aware it may not be possible for ARIA to properly assess the application.
USE AND STORAGE
For the application form, ARIA is using Google Forms. Use of Google Forms is subject to Google’s Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. For customers in Australia, Google processes data in servers based overseas – please see the Google Privacy Policy for further information.
Raw data and personal information collected via the forms will only be accessible by authorised ARIA personnel, authorised ARIA contractors, ARIA Board members and persons appointed as observers to the ARIA Board. Such persons will only use this information for the approved purposes set out above and are bound by confidentiality constraints. ARIA will not provide the personal information collected from you to anyone else, unless otherwise indicated above, you have given consent for us to do this, or we are authorised or required to do so by law.
ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information that you have provided from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The personal information will be stored on a password protected server and password protected or restricted files which are secured from unauthorised access.
