ARIA Membership Inclusion Program – Privacy Collection Statement

ARIA is committed to protecting your privacy and handling all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This Privacy Collection Statement applies to all persons and entities that submit an application and who participate in the ARIA Membership Inclusion Program (the Program). This Privacy Collection Statement operates in conjunction with the ARIA Privacy Policy. Please also ensure you have read the ARIA Membership Inclusion Program Terms and Conditions.

TYPE OF INFORMATION. As part of the application process for the Program, ARIA may collect personal information about an individual applicant’s organisation or the contact person for an applicant organisation, including individual’s names, postal address, photographs and contact details.

Sensitive Information: As part of the application process, ARIA may also collect sensitive information about the applicant and/or the applicant’s organisation. This may include information regarding the demographic makeup of the organisation, including gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnic and cultural background, and whether there are persons living with a disability. This information will only be requested at an anonymised level (where possible) for the purpose of assessing an applicant’s eligibility for the Program.

PURPOSE. ARIA will only use the information provided via this application process to:

ARIA will not use or disclose your personal or sensitive information for any purpose other than the above primary purposes, where you have provided your explicit consent, and as required to do so by law.

If you do not want to share certain personal information with ARIA, then you should select the response option of “Prefer not to say” or any similar option as may be applicable. Please be aware, if an individual does not provide ARIA with certain information, it may not be possible for ARIA to properly assess and process the application.

STORAGE. For the application form, ARIA is using Microsoft Forms. Use of Microsoft Forms is subject to Microsoft Services Agreement and Privacy Statement. For customers in Australia, Microsoft processes data in servers based in Australia.

ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect any personal information it receives from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Applications and personal and sensitive information held by ARIA is stored on ARIA’s password protected computer network. Access to information is only granted to authorised ARIA employees and contractors who, as a condition of their employment or engagement, must maintain confidentiality of all information they have access to.
