Cardi B holds the ARIA Singles Chart #1 for a third week with WAP

‘WAP’ by Cardi B makes it three straight weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Of the three female-lead hip hop songs to hit #1 on the chart, only Salt-N-Pepa’s ‘Let’s Talk About Sex’ (#1 Jan. ’92) has spent more time in the top spot with four weeks.

In this week’s Top Ten, there are new peaks for 24kGoldn’s ‘Mood’ (#2), Joel Corry & MNEK’s ‘Head & Heart’ (#4) and Pop Smoke’s ‘Mood Swings’ (#5).

Following their debut last week, Swedish pop duo Jubel climb 16 places to #26 with their cover of ‘Dancing In The Moonlight’. Featuring vocals by fellow Swede NEIMY, it was originally a hit in their homeland in 2018, peaking at #9. Two year on, it has so far peaked at #11 in the UK. First made famous by King Harvest in 1972, ‘Dancing In The Moonlight’ was also a hit for British group Toploader; their version peaked at #12 in mid-2001.

Jason Derulo’s ‘Take You Dancing’ jumps 22 places to #27 in its second week in the Top 50. It’s the American R&B star’s second chart entry for 2020 after holding the #1 spot for six weeks with ‘Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)’, which is at #3 this week.

Four weeks into its chart run, Sia’s ‘Together’ jumps 14 to a new peak of #34. Coming from the soundtrack to forthcoming film Music, which the Australian wrote and directed, it’s Sia’s first chart entry since the collaboration with David Guetta, ‘Flames’ (#19 May ’18) and her first solo entry since ‘Never Give Up’ (#29 Feb. ’17).
