Charli is back on the chart

Charli XCX returns with “Music, Fashion, Film”, new at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, followed closely by Amy Shark at #2. 

It’s Charli’s eighth studio album and fourth to reach the top 10: “Charli” got to #7 in 2019, “Crash” hit #1 in 2022 and the remix version of “Brat” topped the chart in 2024. She also reached #4 earlier this year with the soundtrack to “Wuthering Heights”. The album is also #1 on the Vinyl Chart.

Eight-time ARIA Award winner Amy Shark lands at #2 on the Albums Chart and #1 on the Australian Albums Chart with “Soft Pop”. It’s her fifth studio album (the first was released under the name Amy Cushway) and her fourth chart topper in a row following “Love Monster” in 2018, “Cry Forever” in 2021 and “Sunday Sadness” in 2024. Her 2017 EP “Night Thinker” peaked at #2. 

Laufey’s Australian tour sees “A Matter Of Time: The Final Hour” climb from #39 to #6 on the Albums Chart and #5 on the Vinyl Chart. The seven-show Australian visit kicks off in Melbourne tonight.

The Strokes’ “Reality Awaits” debuts at #10. It’s their seventh studio album and first since “The New Abnormal”, which peaked at #21 in 2000. The band has scored six top 10 albums, topping the chart in 2011 with “Angles”. 

Tyler, The Creator’s “Don’t Tap The Glass” re-enters at #11 thanks to the release of the first standalone vinyl pressing of the album, which is also #2 on the Vinyl Chart. It peaked at #4 in July last year. 

Budjerah, the winner of two ARIA Awards, lands at #14 on the Albums Chart and #2 on the Australian Albums Chart with his first studio album, “Gentleman”.

South African singer Tyla is new at #28 with her second album, “A*Pop”. Her debut, “Tyla”, stopped at #48 in 2024. 

Shania Twain’s seventh studio album, “Little Miss Twain”, is new at #30. One of the best-selling country artists of all time, she hit #1 in 1999 with “Come On Over” – which spent 20 weeks on top – and again in 2002 with “Up!” (one week) and in 2017 with “Now” (one week). 

Sydney rock band Body Type debut at #42 with “Tally”. It’s their third album and first to reach the top 50. It also comes in at #3 on the Australian Albums Chart.

Australian children’s music group Spaghetti Confetti’s debut album, “Ready Spaghetti Go”, arrives at #67 on the Albums Chart and # 5 on the Australian Albums Chart.

On the Singles Chart, Ella Langley holds at #1 for the eighth non-consecutive week with “Choosin’ Texas”. 

K-pop inspired, global girl group Katseye debut at #8 with “Animal”. Co-written with Ed Sheeran, the track is the group’s fourth top 50 hit here: they reached #27 in 2025 with “Gabriela”, #19 this year with “Pinky Up” and #39 this year with “Iconic By Mistake” with Le Sserafim and Illit. 

The FIFA World Cup might be over, but “Dai Dai” – the competition’s official song by Shakira and Burna Boy – keeps climbing the chart, up from #12 to #10 this week.

“Dai Dai” is Shakira’s first top 10 hit in 19 years: she reached #5 in 2007 with “Beautiful Liar”, a duet with Beyonce. Shakira has scored three #1 hits here: “Whenever, Wherever” in 2001, “Underneath Your Clothes” in 2002 and “Hips Don’t Lie” (with Wyclef Jean) in 2006. “Dai Dai” is Burna Boy’s first appearance in the top 50. 

Michael Jackson continues to dominate the On Replay charts with “Thriller” the #1 album and “Billie Jean” the #1 single.
