Australian rock band DMAs brand-new album How Many Dreams?. landed at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, #1 on the Australian Albums Chart and #4 on the Vinyl Albums Chart in Australia this week.
It’s not just Australians digging this record, How Many Dreams? has also pulled in at #3 on the UK Albums Chart, a new personal record for the trio in the UK, where they have been building a significant fan base over the years.
The 10 track record features radio singles, Everybody's Saying Thursday's The Weekend, Fading Like a Picture, Olympia, and Something We Are Overcoming showcasing their growth and maturity as artists. Members, Tommy O'Dell, Johnny Took, and Matt Mason, have poured their heart and soul into a dynamic sound and introspective lyrics, the album is intended to resonate with fans both old and new.
On this Johnny expresses; "I think it’s a good trait, as an artist, to be open to trying new things. You have to make that journey, because the next album we make will always be affected by what we’ve learnt along the way. We never just wanted to do rock music the whole way, that’s just not how our brains work. We’re always trying to learn, change and adapt."
DMAs have already achieved several accreditations at ARIA in Australia, including #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2020 for Glow, #7 in 2018 for For Now, and #8 in 2016 for Hills End. They also topped the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart with For Now in 2018, The Glow in 2020, and Live from 02 Academy Brixton in 2021. The band has been nominated for nine ARIA Awards to date.
