Ed Sheeran's Bad Habits holds ARIA #1 for second week

Ed Sheeran holds #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for a second straight week with ‘Bad Habits’. Since debuting in the top spot here last week, the single has also taken out #1s in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK. Of Sheeran’s previous chart-toppers, ‘Shape of You’ (#1 Jan. ‘17) spent the most time at #1, notching up 15 weeks.

Italian band Maneskin move up three spots to claim a new peak at #3 with ‘Beggin’. It’s peaked at #4 in New Zealand and #7 in the UK. Maneskin’s other recent chart entry, ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’, also has a new peak, climbing six to #15.

Moving up two spots to #18, Vance Joy equals the peak set by ‘Lay It On Me’ (#18 Sept. ’17). It’s his first entry in the Top 20 since ‘We’re Going Home’ (#16 Mar. ’18).

This week’s chart also features new peaks for Tom Grennan’s ‘Little Bit Of Love’ (#20), Marshmello & Jonas Brothers ‘Leave Before You Love Me’ (#27), Majestic vs. Boney M’s ‘Rasputin’ (#28) and Tones And I’s ‘Cloudy Day’ (#45).

American hip hop star Megan Thee Stallion scores her second solo Top 50 entry as she debuts at #43 with ‘Thot S**t’. It’s her first solo release since putting out debut album, Good News (#41 Nov. ’20). Between ‘Savage’ (#4 May ’20) and ‘Thot S**t’, Megan Thee Stallion spent six weeks at #1 as the featured artist on Cardi B’s ‘WAP’ (#1 Aug. ’20).

Swedish DJ duo Galantis, French DJ David Guetta and British girl group Little Mix debut at #49 with ‘Heartbreak Anthem’. Released in May, the track hit #4 in the UK and #5 in Ireland.
