Heat Waves lands Glass Animals ninth week at #1 on ARIA Singles Chart

In its 67th week in the ARIA Top 50, ‘Heat Waves’ by Glass Animals takes out its ninth week at #1. In the US, the track is spending its second week at #1.

A week on from debuting at #35, ‘Starlight’ by Dave races up the chart 24 spots to hit #11. It becomes the British hip hop artist’s highest peak on the ARIA Charts, taking over from ‘Clash’ (#29 Aug. ’21).

Nirvana’s ‘Something In The Way’ debuts at #22 on this week’s Singles Chart. First appearing on the iconic American band’s second album, Nevermind (#2 Jan. ’92), the track has hit the chart this week on the back of being featured several times in the film The Batman. Nirvana last appeared on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘About A Girl’ (#4 Oct. ’94).

Teaming up for ‘Sweetest Pie’, Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa debut at #27. The lead single from Megan Thee Stallion’s second album becomes her first chart entry since ‘Thot S**t’ (#38 Jul. ’21). This week, Dua Lipa also sits at #3 with the Elton John collaboration ‘Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)’ and #19 with ‘Levitating’.

This week’s chart includes new peaks for Camila Cabello’s ‘Bam Bam’ (#18), SUPERHi’s ‘Following The Sun’ (#23), Elley Duhé’s ‘Middle Of The Night’ (#29) and Em Beihold’s ‘Numb Little Bug’ (#31).
