Olivia Rodrigo returns

After a four-week break, Olivia Rodrigo’s “You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love” takes back the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart, giving it six non-consecutive weeks on top. 

Olivia’s debut album, “Sour”, spent eight weeks at #1 in 2021 and her second, “Guts”, was on top for two weeks in 2023.

Queensland-born, LA-based singer Jack Gray arrives at #7 with his first album, “Swimming In Jeans”. It also debuts at #1 on both the Australian Albums and Vinyl Charts. 

Hands Like House’s EP “Lotus” re-enters at #36 and at #2 on the Australian Albums Chart; it reached #5 on the main chart earlier this year.

Victorian folk singer Mietta is new at #49 with her debut album, “When The Water Stills”. It lands at #3 on the Australian Albums Chart. 

On the Singles Charts, Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holds onto the #1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart, making it 14 non-consecutive weeks on top since mid-May. With 22 weeks at the top of the “Billboard 100”, it’s now tied with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” as the longest-running #1 song ever in the US. 

Several tracks reach or hold at new peaks this week, including Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” (#7), Adela’s “Ain’t In LA” (#13) and a second Adela track, “Nicole Kidman” (#14). 

No change on the On Reply charts, with Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” holding firm as the #1 album and The Killers’ “Mr Brightside” the #1 single.
