Record-breaking seventh week at #1 for Elton John & Dua Lipa

Elton John and Dua Lipa make it seven weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)’. It surpasses the six weeks spent at #1 by John’s previous chart-topper ‘Something About The Way You Look Tonight’ / ‘Candle In The Wind’ (#1 Sept. ’97) to become his longest reign in the top spot in ARIA Charts history.

Lauren Spencer-Smith makes her ARIA Singles Chart debut at #8 with ‘Fingers Crossed’. The 18-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter first rose to prominence when she was a finalist in the 2020 series of American Idol. ‘Fingers Crossed’ has been going viral on TikTok since a snippet of the track was first posted to the platform by Spencer-Smith in November. It’s since had 23 million views.

As Dawn FM debuts at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, The Weeknd scores eight new entries on this week’s Singles Chart, with ‘Sacrifice’ the highest at #9. Debuts also come for ‘Is There Someone Else?’ (#18), ‘How Do I Make You Love Me?’ (#27), ‘Gasoline’ (#28), ‘Out Of Time’ (#29), ‘Best Friends’ (#45), ‘Here We Go… Again’ (#46) and ‘Less Than Zero’ (#47). Meanwhile, previous single ‘Take My Breath’ has re-entered the chart at #15) and ‘Moth To A Flame’ with Swedish House Mafia has moved back up twelve spots to #30.

The Encanto buzz continues on this week’s chart. On top of the Disney film’s soundtrack hitting a new peak at #5, the track ‘We Don't Talk About Bruno’ has climbed from #20 to #12 and ‘Surface Pressure’ by Jessica Darrow is up 20 spots to #24.

After debuting at #48 last week, Gold Coast producer Luude’s reworking of Men At Work’s ‘Down Under’ has jumped 29 spots to hit #19 The new version features reworked vocals by Colin Hay, the lead singer of ARIA Hall Of Fame members Men At Work.

Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter Bbno$ scores his second career ARIA Singles Chart entry at #33 with the Rich Brian-featured track ‘Edamame’. The track has made a big impact on TikTok, being used in over 10 million videos. Bbno$ previously charted with ‘Lalala’ (#16 Aug. ’19).

American singer-songwriter David Kushner hits this week’s chart at #36 with ‘Miserable Man’. The track has also been a recent TikTok sensation, generating more than 140k videos.
