Rodrigo runs back to #1

Olivia Rodrigo’s “You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love” takes back the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart for a fifth non-consecutive week. 

Stray Kids debut at #3 with their EP “This & That”. The K-pop group – featuring Aussies Felix and Bangchan – have now landed in the top 20 here nine times with “Noeasy” (#14 in 2021), “Maxident” (#4 in 2022), “5-Star” (#2 in 2023), “Rock-Star” (also #2 in 2023), “Ate” (#2 in 2024), “Hop” (#4 in 2024), “Karma” (#3 in 2025) and “Do It” (#10 in 2025). 

Californian singer Role Model (aka Tucker Pillsbury) storms onto the ARIA Albums Chart at #4 with his third release, “Chuck Timely & The Hourglass”. He reached #17 in 2024 with “Kansas Anymore”. 

Tasmanian country rock singer Casey Barnes lands at #6 with his 10th studio album, “Made For This”. The ARIA Award winner reached #16 in 2020 with “Town Of A Million Dreams”, #17 in 2022 with “Light It Up” and #11 in 2024 with “Mayday”. 

German electronicore band Electric Callboy’s seventh studio album, “Tanzneid”, is new at #11. It’s their first top 50 entry; until now, their best performer had been “Tekkno”, which peaked at #66 in 2022. 

American singer Steve Lacy’s third album, “Oh Yeah?”, jumps from #34 to #17, fuelling by the use of the title track in the world’s #1 movie, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”. He reached #13 in 2022 with “Gemini Rights”. 

Melbourne duo Bachelor Girl are new at #34 with a reimagined version of their debut album “Waiting For The Day”. The original peaked at #20 in 1998. The new version includes collaborations with Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Darren Hayes, Sheppard, Jessica Mauboy and more. 

Don Waker is new at #41 with “Love Songs”. As a member of Cold Chisel, he has scored 19 top 10 albums, hitting #1 with “Swingshift” in 1981, “Circus Animals” in 1982, “Twentieth Century” in 1984, “The Last Wave Of Summer” in 1998, “Blood Moon” in 2019 and “50 Years – The Best Of” in 2024. 

As part of Catfish, Walker reached #50 in 1988 with “Unlimited Address”. As part of Tex, Don and Charlie (with Tex Perkins and Charlie Owen), he got to #40 in 1993 with “Sad But True” and #14 in 2017 with “You Don’t Know Lonely”. 

WA-born singer Rowena Wise’s “Bad Things Feel Good*” arrives at #44, it’s her second album and first time on the ARIA chart, while Aussie artist Chris Cobb debuts at #47 with “More Questions Than Answers”.

On the Singles Chart, Ella Langley makes it 10 weeks at #1 with “Choosin’ Texas”. The longest running #1 this year is Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need”, which spent 15 non-consecutive weeks on top (it’s at #3 this week). 

American country singer Stella Lefty cracks the top 10 for the first time, as “Boston” climbs from #11 to #8.

Tame Impala’s 2025 track “Loser” roars back onto the chart at #11 and #1 on the Australian Singles Chart thanks to its use in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”. Last year it peaked at #95. He is also at #18 with “Dracula”, which climbed to #4 earlier this year.

Madonna and Kylie Minogue claim #3 on the Australian Shingles Chart with their “Love Sensation” collaboration. Kylie’s 2007 album “X” also lands at #2 on the Vinyl Chart following its first vinyl release this week. It spent one week at #1 on the Albums Chart in late 2007. 

Michael Jackson’s grip on the On Replay Albums Chart show no signs of weakening, with “Thriller” holding onto the #1 spot, while Goo Goo Dolls’ 1998 hit “Iris” returns to the summit of the On Replay Singles Chart.
