Sabrina Carpenter takes back the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart this week for a third non-consecutive week with Short n’ Sweet.
Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) races back up the chart from #48 to #2 thanks to the release of the Expanded Mourner’s edition with two new tracks and a new version of Fuel. The album spent two weeks at #1 in July this year.
American singer and former oncology nurse Keshi debuts at #14 with his second album, Requiem. His first, Gabriel, peaked at #72 in 2022.
Lake Macquarie locals Andrew Scott, Lachlan Jackson, Patrick Russell and Nick Scott of Surf Trash break the top 20 with their debut album The Only Place I Know landing at #17.
On the Singles Chart, Sabrina Carpenter’s Taste holds at #1 for its fourth consecutive week. Female artists have now taken the top spot for seven straight weeks. Before Taste, Billie Eilish’s Birds Of A Feather ruled for two weeks, and before that, Charli XCX and Billie were #1 for a week with Guess.
Canada’s Tate McRae debuts at #14 with It’s OK, I’m OK. Her breakout hit, You Broke Me First, peaked at #7 in 2020 and she reached #2 last year with Greedy.
The Weeknd returns with Dancing In The Flames, new at #19. It’s the first track from his next album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. His first hit here, Love Me Harder (with Ariana Grande), peaked at #19 in 2014. He has gone on to score another 35 top 50 hits, including the #1 smash Blinding Lights, which spent #11 weeks on top in 2020 and was the #1 song of the year.
Charli XCX reworks Talk Talk from her album Brat, adding Aussie star Troye Sivan. Debuting at #42, it is Charli’s fourth top 50 hit this year, including Guess (with Billie Eilish), which spent one week at #1 in August. For Troye, it’s his first chart appearance since One Of Your Girls reached #24 last year.
