Taylor Swift scores the chart double for the fourth week in a row, as The Life Of A Showgirl holds at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and The Fate Of Ophelia retains the crown on the Singles Chart.
Aussie country singer James Johnston debuts at a new peak of #5 with his second album, Where You’ll Find Me, which also takes #1 on the Australian Albums Chart. He reached #7 with his debut, Raised Like That, in 2023.
Lily Allen returns with West End Girl, her first album in seven years, which debuts at #6. It’s her fifth studio album and fifth top 10 result. She reached #7 in 2006 with Alright, Still, #1 in 2009 with It’s Not Me, It’s You, #4 in 2014 with Sheezus and #8 in 2018 with No Shame.
UK rapper Dave’s third album The Boy Who Played The Harp arrives at #7. His second album, We’re All Alone In This Together, also peaked at #5 in 2021.
Melbourne’s Paul Dempsey is new at #8 with Shotgun Karaoke Vol. II, featuring covers of songs by REM, Patti Smith, Cher, Don Henley, Tanita Tikaram and others. The album is also at #2 on the Vinyl Chart.
The Something for Kate lead singer has released four solo studio albums, reaching #5 in 2009 with Everything Is True, #17 in 2013 with Shotgun Karaoke and #5 in 2016 with Strange Loop. Fanning Dempsey National Park, his side project with Powderfinger’s Bernard Fanning, got to #3 last year with The Deluge. Something for Kate topped the Albums Chart twice, with The Official Fiction in 2003 and Desert Lights in 2006.
Olivia Dean, who will perform at the ARIA Awards on 19 November, continues to shine on the Singles Chart. Man I Need holds at #2, So Easy (To Fall In Love) leaps from #22 to #7 and former top 10 hit Nice To Each Other is up from #16 to #12. She is also at #41 with A Couple Minutes and #44 with Baby Steps.
Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours holds at #1 on the On Replay Albums Chart, while Teddy Swims’ Lose Control keeps the top spot on the Singles Chart.
