Three Australians crack the top 5

Joji, Dean Lewis and Slowly Slowly debut in the top 5 of the ARIA Albums Chart this week at #3, #4 and #5 respectively in a huge week for Australian music, with the final countdown to the 2022 ARIA Awards beginning with ARIA Week this Monday.

Japanese Australian artist Joji lands #3 with his second album, Smithereens, featuring the ARIA Song of the Year-nominated hit single Glimpse of Us. The single has appeared on the ARIA Singles Chart 21 times, peaking at #1. This is the second #1 album debut for Joji, after 2020’s Nectar.

ARIA Song of the Year nominee, Dean Lewis, takes the #4 spot with The Hardest Love. Lewis has received 13 ARIA Award nominations, and previously peaked at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with A Place We Knew in 2019.

At #5, Victorian indie outfit Slowly Slowly debut with Daisy Chain, an ARIA peak for the band after their third album, Race Car Blues, reached #7 in 2022.

Making a huge debut at #2 on the Albums Chart is the highly anticipated collaboration from Drake and 21 Savage, Her Loss, which also holds #3, #5, #9 and #10 on the Singles Chart.
