ARIA is committed to protecting your privacy and handling all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Collection Statement explains the personal information ARIA will collect in this ARIA Club Chart DJ Panel application form, the purpose of its collection and how it will be handled by ARIA.
Type of Information
As part of the application process to become an ARIA Club Chart DJ, ARIA will request and collect personal information about you, including your name, mailing address and other contact details. ARIA will also collect sensitive information about you, including your gender identity and cultural and ethnic background. For the purpose of this collection statement, references to ‘personal information’ also include ‘sensitive information’.
PURPOSE
The ARIA Club Chart DJ Panel application enables DJs to apply to contribute to the ARIA Club Charts, providing data as to the music being played in clubs and venues. This application form requests certain personal information from you to assist ARIA in carrying out the following primary functions:
- to process applications for the ARIA Club Chart Panel and determine the applicant’s eligibility;
- to contact applicants about their ARIA Club Chart application and ARIA Club Chart related news;
- to provide applicants with information about ARIA and relevant music industry matters;
- to compile and publish aggregate statistics regarding the demographics of applicants and ARIA Club Chart DJs for the purposes of research, analysis and reporting. From time to time, ARIA may publish and share materials with relevant stakeholders and the media. In this instance, all personal information will be in aggregate form and anonymised.
If you do not want to share certain personal information with ARIA, then you should select the response option of “Prefer not to say” as applicable. If you choose not to share certain information with ARIA, please be aware it may not be possible for ARIA to process the application.
USE AND STORAGE
Raw data and personal information collected via the online form will be accessible by authorised ARIA personnel and ARIA’s website developers only, who will only use this information for the approved purposes set out above and are bound by confidentiality constraints. ARIA will not provide the personal information collected from you to anyone else, unless you have given consent for us to do this, or we are authorised or required to do so by law.
ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Your personal information will be stored on a password protected database and password protected files which are secured from unauthorised access.
