Debuts for The Seekers, Norah Jones, The Chemical Brothers and more!

Map Of The Soul: Persona by Korean stars BTS becomes the first release sung in an Asian language to hit #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart (more below).

Debuts:

#1: BTS ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’ – Korean pop juggernaut BTS land their first #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Map Of The Soul: Persona. The EP is the seven-member group’s fourth Top Ten on the chart after Love Yourself ‘Her’ (#8 Sept. ’17), Love Yourself ‘Tear’ (#6 May ’18) and Love Yourself ‘Answer’ (#9 Sept. ’18). One track from the EP, the Halsey-featured ‘Boy With Luv’, has debuted on this week’s Singles Chart at #10.
 
#4: The Seekers ‘Farewell’ – 1995 ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees The Seekers release the live album, Farewell. Recorded in Melbourne in 2013 during the quartet’s Golden Jubilee tour, it’s their first chart entry since compilation album The Golden Jubilee Album (#10 Dec. ’12).
 
#14: Norah Jones ‘Farewell’ – American singer-songwriter Norah Jones returns with her seventh studio album, Begin Again. The follow-up to Day Breaks (#4 Oct. ’16) is also Jones’ seventh release to hit the Top 50. Jones played a run of dates in the country this week before performing at Bluesfest over the Easter weekend. Jones’ debut Come Away With Me spent nine weeks at #1 in 2003.
 
#17: The Chemical Brothers ‘No Geography’ – The Chemical Brothers score a ninth ARIA Top 50 entry with No Geography. The British big beat duo’s ninth studio album comes four years on from Born In The Echoes (#5 Jul. ’15). They previously hit #1 with Come With Us (#1 Feb. ’02).
 
#19: Anderson .Paak ‘Ventura’ – Less than a year on from Oxnard (#20 Nov. ’18), Anderson .Paak hits the chart again with Ventura. The album is the American rapper’s fourth and features appearances by Smokey Robinson, Andre 3000, Brandy and more.
 
#21: Sara Storer ‘Raindance’ – Country singer-songwriter Sara Storer takes out a sixth Top 50 entry with Raindance. Storer’s seventh studio album is the follow-up to Silos (#30 Mar. ’16), winner of Best Country Album at the 2016 ARIA Awards.
 
#31: Clowns ‘Nature/Nurture’ – Melbourne hardcore band Clowns make their ARIA Top 50 debut with Nature/Nurture. It’s the fourth studio album by the five-piece and comes two years on from third album, Lucid Again.
 
#49: LSD ‘Labrinth, Sia & Diplo Present... LSD’ – ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter Sia, English singer/producer Labrinth and American producer/DJ Diplo join forces as LSD for the album Labrinth, Sia & Diplo Present... LSD. The album is Sia’s first Albums Chart appearance since Everyday Is Christmas (#7 Nov. ’17) and Labrinth’s first since Electronic Earth (#30 Mar. ’13). Diplo last charted with the Major Lazer album Peace Is The Mission (#5 Jun. ’15).
