For the third consecutive week, Taylor Swift’s evermore is the #1 album on the ARIA Charts. It’s now spent one less week in the top spot than Swift’s previous album, folklore, which jumps up from #10 to #4 this week.
AC/DC’s dominance continues in the seventh week of the chart run of PWR/UP. After spending four straight weeks at #1, the album has managed to drop only as low as #3, spending its last two weeks at #2. PWR/UP has spent as many weeks in the Top Three as Black Ice (#1 Oct. ’08).
With the festive season over, most Christmas albums have dropped down the chart drastically. The only exception is Michael Bublé’s Christmas, which has moved up one spot to #3. It’s the former #1’s 80th week in the Top 50.
In light of the drop by Christmas albums, there has been a surge up the chart for a number of albums including Harry Styles’ Fine Line (from #13 to #5), The Kid Laroi’s F*ck Love (Savage) (from #15 to #6), Miley Cyrus’ Plastic Hearts (from #12 to #8), Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (from #23 to #9) and Luke Combs’ What You See Ain't Always What You Get (from #16 to #10).
Playboi Carti scores a new ARIA Albums Chart peak as he debuts at #15 with Whole Lotta Red. The American rapper’s second album is the follow-up to Die Lit (#49 May ’18) and features collaborations with Kanye West, Future and Kid Cudi, among others.
