American rapper and former ARIA chart-topper Lil Nas X releases his debut album, Montero. It comes two years after Lil Nas X first came to prominence with the single ‘Old Town Road’ (#1 Jul. ‘19). The album includes the singles ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ (#1 May ‘21) and ‘Industry Baby’ (#5 Aug. ‘21) plus appearances by Elton John, Miley Cyrus and Doja Cat.

Australian music icons Vika & Linda return with The Wait. The duo’s follow-up to Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso) (#2 Sept. ‘20) is their first album of originals since 2002 and includes tracks written by Bernard Fanning, Kasey Chambers and The Living End’s Chris Cheney.

Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham releases his self-titled seventh solo album. It’s Buckingham’s first solo album in a decade and was written, produced and recorded by the singer-songwriter in his home studio.

American psychedelic band Mild High Club release Going Going Gone, their first album in five years. Between 2016’s Skiptracing and now, the band collaborated with Melbourne’s King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard on the album Sketches of Brunswick East (#4 Aug. ‘17).

Swedish singer-songwriter José González returns with his first album in six years, Local Valley. The follow-up to Vestiges & Claws (#34 Mar. ‘15) includes the singles ‘Vision’, ‘Swing’ and ‘Head On’.

James Vincent McMorrow releases his fifth album, Grapefruit Season. Featuring ‘Waiting’ and ‘Paradise’, it come become the Irish singer-songwriter’s first album to chart since We Move (#28 Sept. ‘16).
