#shareAsong campaign set to raise dementia awareness

Lining up with Dementia Action Week and World Alzheimer's Day, our friends at Vera are launching a social campaign called #shareAsong designed to generate awareness for the amazing impact music can have on those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia (see here if you aren't aware of the impact). The campaign is raising much needed funds for dementia charities around the world (Dementia Australia for Australia/NZ, Music For Dementia for the UK, HFC for the US and Canada).

You can #shareAsong by creating a video or typing in a story relating to a memory that has a song attached to it and sharing it on your socials. Grab the link to the song from YouTube, Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music etc, jump on your socials, tell us the story and share it to someone. Don't forget to nominate 3 people to pay it forward, use the hashtag #shareAsong and to donate to your local charity.

While we would love to see as much activity as possible today (Tues 21/9), it's ok if you can't make it happen until later in the week as the movement will grow over time.

Aside from generating a positive, uplifting message for a good cause, the campaign itself will generate a lot of promotion and consumption of music across socials as more and more people #shareAsong which is good news for the industry at this time.
