Privacy Collection Statement – 2026 Our Soundtrack Our Ads Pledge and Advertising ARIA Award
This Privacy Collection Statement applies to eligible agencies, including their employees and directors, and any persons who nominate, propose, or participate in the Our Soundtrack Our Ads Pledge (OSOA Pledge) and the Best Use of an Australian Recording in an Advertisement ARIA Award categories, as indicated in the 2026 Our Soundtrack Our Ads Pledge and Award Terms & Conditions (the Advertising ARIA Award). It operates in conjunction with the ARIA Privacy Policy.
Type of Information Collected. In order to administer the OSOA Pledge and the Advertising ARIA Award, ARIA may need to collect personal information, primarily related to an individual's business. This can include details of an individual participating in the OSOA Pledge or the Advertising ARIA Award (including name, phone number, email, workplace details, their photograph, and a biography). ARIA may also collect individual’s financial information, such as banking and credit card details.
Personal information will be collected via the online form filled out by persons on behalf of Eligible agencies and any materials submitted to support an Eligible agency's entry into the Advertising ARIA Award.
Use of Information. Personal information collected by ARIA will be used for the following purposes:
- administration of the OSOA Pledge, including sending out information, updates and news about the OSOA Pledge, organising events and providing resources;
- facilitating pledge and entry payments;
- administration and announcement of the Advertising ARIA Award;
- responding to queries about the OSOA Pledge and the Advertising ARIA Award;
- the production of promotional material for the OSOA Pledge and the Advertising ARIA Award, including using names, images and logos in promotional material associated with OSOA, the Advertising ARIA Award and the ARIA Awards;
- preparation, staging, production, promotion, broadcast and communication of the annual ARIA Awards event and associated content; and
- reporting purposes for ARIA and ARIA partners in respect of the 2026 ARIA Awards and related events.
Disclosure. Personal information may be disclosed to third parties for the purpose of organising, promoting, producing, communicating and broadcasting the 2026 ARIA Awards and associated content such as production and broadcast partners and technical providers that provide IT software and services.
Storage. For the entry form, ARIA is using Google Forms. Use of Google Forms is subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. For customers in Australia, Google processes data in servers based overseas – please see the Google Privacy Policy for further information.
ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information you have provided from misuse, interference, loss and authorised access, modification or disclosure. Once collected, personal information will be stored on ARIA’s password protected computer network, while physical files will be kept on secure premises. Access is only granted to authorised ARIA employees and contractors who, as a condition of their employment, must maintain confidentiality of all information they have access to.
