ARIA is committed to protecting your privacy and handling all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Collection Statement explains what personal information ARIA will collect in the entry form for the ARIA Awards – Belkin Competition (the Competition), the purpose of its collection and how it will be stored and handled by ARIA.
Type of Information
As part of the process to submit an entry for the Competition, ARIA will request and collect personal information about you including your name, email address, phone number and age.
PURPOSE and USE
The entry form for the Competition requests certain personal information to assist ARIA in carrying out the following primary functions:
to determine the eligibility of entrants for the Competition (including age verifications);
to assess entries;
to contact the winners about the prize; and
to advise Belkin Limited and their agents regarding the entries and prize winners for the purpose of delivering the prize to each winner.
If you choose not to share certain information with ARIA, please be aware it may not be possible for ARIA to process your entry. If you do not agree to ARIA sharing your personal information with Belkin Limited and their agents, then you will not be eligible to win a prize as ARIA will be unable to assess your eligibility, and Belkin Limited will be unable to facilitate the delivery of the prize. The names of the winners (initial and surname) may also be posted on the ARIA website and/or social media channels, with the locality of their residence.
STORAGE
For the Competition entry form, ARIA is using Microsoft Forms. Use of Microsoft Forms is subject to Microsoft’s Services Agreement. For customers in Australia, Microsoft processes data in servers based overseas – please see Microsoft’s Services Agreement for further information.
Raw data and personal information collected via the forms will only be accessible by authorised ARIA personnel, who will only use this information for the approved purposes set out above and are bound by confidentiality constraints. ARIA will not provide the personal information collected from you to anyone else, unless otherwise indicated above, you have given consent for us to do this, or we are authorised or required to do so by law.
ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information that you have provided from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The personal information will be stored by ARIA on a password protected server and password protected or restricted files which are secured from unauthorised access.
OPT IN TO RECEIVE MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS FROM ARIA AND/OR BELKIN LIMITED
Opting in to receive marketing and/or other communications from ARIA and/or Belkin Limited is voluntary.
If you have opted in to receive ARIA newsletters, marketing and other communications from ARIA, then you consent to ARIA collecting and handling your personal information in accordance with the ARIA Privacy Policy.
If you have opted in to receive marketing and other communications from Belkin Limited, then you consent to ARIA collecting and transferring your name and email address to Belkin Limited in accordance with the ARIA Privacy Policy.
