ARIA AWARDS INDUSTRY TICKET PURCHASE – PRIVACY COLLECTION STATEMENT
Australian Recording Industry Association Ltd (ABN 72 002 692 944) (ARIA) is committed to ensuring that all personal information that you provide to ARIA remains secure and is only used for the purposes for which it is collected. ARIA handles all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Collection Statement outlines how ARIA meets the obligations that are set out in the APPs.
Personal Information
In this form ARIA is requesting certain personal information about the purchaser of the ticket/s, as well as the individuals attending the event. This includes contact information (such as names, residential addresses, phone and email contact details), and information about an individual's dietary requirements and food allergens.
Purpose
The primary purpose for which ARIA is collecting your personal information is: (i) to process and manage your industry ticket purchase order; (ii) to facilitate entry to the venue; (iii) to allocate seating and filming at the 2024 ARIA Awards event; (iv) for the conduct of data analytics and research via surveys; and/or (v) to contact you about any matters relating to your order or attendance at the 2024 ARIA Awards.
Use and Disclosure
If you choose to purchase 2024 ARIA Awards industry tickets, ARIA will use the information provided for the primary purpose set out above. Through carrying out this purpose, ARIA may disclose the personal information:
to its staff and contractors who are engaged to facilitate the sale, distribution and allocation of tickets and seating at the 2024 ARIA Awards;
to its staff and contractors who are engaged to communicate with ticket holders about ticketing, Event safety, Event information and Event related surveys;
to the event organisers and production companies for the purpose of the staging and production of the 2024 ARIA Awards event and broadcast;
to Ticketek Pty Ltd for the purpose of processing and issuing tickets and verifying entry into the 2024 ARIA Awards event;
to the operators of the Hordern Pavilion, for security and operational purposes associated with your entry to the venue and the staging of the 2024 ARIA Awards;
to external parties such as mail couriers and postal services to deliver the tickets;
for reporting purposes to be distributed to third parties and published and disseminated on an aggregated basis;
for purposes otherwise required/permitted by law (including the Privacy Act); and
for purposes and to organisations set out in our Privacy Policy.
Personal information provided to Ticketek Pty Ltd will be handled in accordance with Ticketek Pty Ltd’s own policies, and may be disclosed or stored in overseas locations, including New Zealand and the Philippines. As a part of ARIA’s reporting requirements, we are required to capture postcode data of attendees at the 2024 ARIA Awards, but this information will only be shared with third parties on an aggregated basis, and ARIA will not share any information (except to its staff and contractors) which would identify an individual.
ARIA’s staff and contractors are bound by confidentiality constraints as a part of their engagement with ARIA. ARIA will not provide the personal information collected from you to anyone else outside of ARIA and Ticketek Pty Ltd for any other purposes, unless you have given consent for us to do this, or ARIA is authorised or required to do so by law.
ARIA and Ticketek may from time to time disclose your personal information to third party service providers, for example IT service providers, in order to facilitate the purchase, distribution and administration of the ticket purchase and fulfilment.
If you don't provide ARIA with the personal information requested or the information provided is incorrect or incomplete, then ARIA and/or Ticketek Pty Ltd may not be able to process and/or fulfil your ticket purchase order.
Storage
ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. All personal information will be stored on password protected files and any hard copy files are secured from unauthorised access.
