The countdown is on to the 2019 ARIA Awards, and ARIA is thrilled to announce the esteemed presenters tasked with making the Australian music industry’s night of nights extra special - the presenters. The Awards ceremony and all the action from the ARIA Red Carpet will be broadcast on the Nine Network from The Star Event Centre, Sydney on Wednesday 27th November. Viewers around the world will be able to enjoy the event through an international YouTube live-stream, hosted by Ash London.
Today sees the announcement of the Australian and international stars who will be presenting this year’s ARIA Awards. The ceremony will feature: International megastar guest Khalid, Canadian popstar Carly Rae Jepsen, twin pop divas The Veronicas, ARIA Hall of Fame member Daryl Braithwaite, beloved wildlife warrior Robert Irwin, YouTube Music’s Director of Urban Music Tuma Basa, half of esteemed electronic duo Madison Avenue, Andy Van Dorsselaer, electronic music duo Peking Duk, triple j darlings Veronica and Lewis, hosts of ABC's "The Set" Linda Marigliano and Dylan Alcott, comedians Joel Creasey and Tanya Hennessey, television personalities Sophie Monk and Karl Stefanovic, 5 x ARIA nominated vocalist Katie Noonan, former triple j comedic duo Matt and Alex, beloved childrens entertainer Emma Wiggle, fan-favourite puppet Agro, ARIA Award winner Justine Clarke, the cast of smash-hit musical School of Rock, radio presenter Smallzy and Nine Network personalities Brooke Boney and Richard Wilkins. The ceremony and red carpet will also play host to various other stars, including US boy-band Why Don’t We.
These presenters will join Australia’s very own Guy Sebastian in his prestigious hosting duties, a role he is a natural choice for as a 4-time ARIA Award winner and 31-time nominee himself. Sebastian says he is “so pumped and honoured to be hosting the 2019 ARIA Awards.”
ARIA are also thrilled to unveil an additional Australian performer to appear at the Awards. Morgan Evans has shot to fame over the past two years with his hit "Kiss Somebody", which peaked at number 1 on the US Country Airplay Chart, held in the Top 100 ARIA Singles Chart for 34 consecutive weeks and certified ARIA Platinum. His follow up “Day Drunk” peaked at #5, held Top 30 for 20 weeks on the ARIA Top 100 singles, was certified two times Platinum, and hit #1 on AU RadioMonitor’s All Plays Chart. Morgan is nominated for two ARIA Awards this year, including Best Country Album for his #5 ARIA debut “Things That We Drink To” and Song of the Year presented by YouTube Music for “Day Drunk”. Morgan's newest single “Diamonds”, released on November 8, is the #1 most added song at Australian radio this past week!
Morgan and the ARIA Awards’ presenters join an all-star line-up of Australian and International performers set to grace the ARIA stage this year, including Dua Lipa, Halsey, Tones and I, Guy Sebastian, Human Nature, Hilltop Hoods, Thelma Plum, Morgan Evans, and The Teskey Brothers.
