Another big winner was Chet Faker, who was awarded Best Male Artist and Best Independent Release for Built On Glass, in addition to the three Artisan Award gongs: Best Cover Art, Engineer of the Year and Producer of the Year. He was presented with the Best Independent Release award by Triple J’s Matt & Alex who had dressed up as Sia and Chet Faker, respectively. The artist also performed a stripped-back version of hit 'Talk Is Cheap' featuring just a piano and cello.

Sheppard joined forces with Melbourne ska Orchestra to perform their #1 hit 'Geronimo' together.

Fan favourites 5 Seconds Of Summer didn't leave empty-handed. They took home the Song of the Year for their hit 'She Looks So Perfect', which they performed as the show's opening number.
