NOV 22 - THE X STUDIO LAUNCH PARTY PLUS GLOBAL LAUNCH OF THE XCAST
FEATURING AN EXCLUSIVE, ONE-OFF, NEW ALBUM PERFORMANCE BY GUY SEBASTIAN
It’s gearing up to be the party of the season.
THE X STUDIO’s much-anticipated entertainment venue X54 will open its doors for the first time to mark the official opening of THE X STUDIO on Saturday night, November 22. An official ARIA Week event, this massive launch event will feature a live performance from Guy Sebastian and band as he launches his new album Madness.
The event will also be the launch of The XCast, a world-first social broadcast site, which will be broadcasting live content across the globe during the event. Guy will be the first artist in the world to have his X54 performance streamed live using The XCast, going out to social media networks like Facebook and Twitter, so anyone, anywhere, can catch his set and see the celebrations at THE X STUDIO for themselves via the website.
Like a cross between YouTube and Twitter,The XCast will be used to broadcast content produced in the THE X STUDIO which has been specifically created for the new social media channel – from one-off live concerts to regular segments featuring DJs, bands and artists.
One of the first artists ever to take to the X54 stage, Guy and his band will perform some of his best known hits and songs from his new album, Madness, released on November 21. This special event will be one of only a few times that Guy will perform his new songs live before his Australian arena tour kicks off in February.
The atmosphere at X54 will be electric, but fittingly for the launch of the new home of entertainment and luxury in Sydney, founder and creator of THE X STUDIO Ron Creevey has plenty of other surprises up his sleeve to make November 22 a party to remember.
“We are thrilled to have Guy performing at the opening of X54 as a part of ARIA Week. This space is so more than just a venue where you go and see a gig. His cracking performance is going to be part of a much bigger party that is going to start from the second you walk into X54”.
Reminiscent of the famous New York night club, 54, THE X STUDIO’s 500-person capacity entertainment venue X54 will be used for exclusive large-scale events, TV filming and performances. The space features a state of the art sound system, cutting edge effect lighting, superior DJ facilities, Multiple LED screens and special VIP areas.
Last month THE X STUDIO opened its doors to industry, welcoming producers, content creators, and local and international artists into the world-class creative space to perform, film, record and broadcast and bookings for the venue are already exceeding expectations.
As part of ARIA Week, THE X STUDIO is set to usher in a new era for creativity and entertainment, making Kings Cross the new home of world-class music and celebrity. THE X STUDIO is pleased to be hosting the Universal Music and Redbull Music Academy showcases and is a major event sponsor of Kings Cross IGNITE: Heat The Street, a joint initiative with The Live Music Office, APRA AMCOS and the City Of Sydney. For founder and creator of THE X STUDIO, Ron Creevey, Kings Cross will always be the beating heart of Sydney’s nightlife and entertainment industry. Ron wants the launch of The X Studio and XCast to be both the beginning of a bright new chapter for the Cross, and a celebration of its colourful past.
“Kings Cross has always been a magical place electrified by the buzz of neon mixed with the allure of edginess that is at the heart of the great nights we remember. But during the day, Kings Cross has another side that’s emerging, and a side I want to share with the world. When the neon dims and the sun comes out there is an inescapable Bohemian vibe, as locals go about their day with the beautiful surroundings and architecture of Bayswater Road and Macleay Street as a backdrop,” he said.
“Our mission with THE X STUDIO is to play our part to resurrect Kings Cross as the entertainment hub of Sydney, broadcasting and hosting the world’s greatest performers and be a place where new iconic moments in time are created that will continue to add to the story of Kings Cross.”
