ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: “We are so proud of tonight’s result: a true reflection of the excellence in Australian music, a celebration of the genuinely diverse range of artists we should be thrilled to call our own, and an exciting glimpse of the sheer success our incredible industry can achieve in the near future. Congratulations to all the winners, the nominees, and everyone who supported this year’s ARIA Awards in any way. Most of all, thank you.”
NSW Minister for the Arts, Minister for Music and the Night-time Economy and Minister for Jobs and Tourism, John Graham, said: “As the state’s first Minister for Music, I am thrilled to join ARIA in congratulating the winners of the 2023 ARIA Awards. We are determined to bring live music back and encourage more of our home-grown talent to light up venues across the state, just like the artists being acknowledged tonight at these awards. We’re providing direct financial support and changing rules that have held back live performance, and I want to thank ARIA for the leadership they have shown in supporting our ambition for the music industry.”
Mel Silva, VP, Google Australia on behalf of YouTube said: “Aussie music had a cracking year and tonight we got to see the best of it. Huge congrats to all the winners and nominees, and special thanks to the performers who made the show so great. We are so proud of the partnership between YouTube and ARIA and love being part of an Awards night that celebrates home-grown talent and shows it to the world. My highlights were seeing everyone who rocked out in the #JetAirGuitar challenge on YouTube Shorts and the amazing 50 Years of Hip Hop celebration, with live broadcast elements filmed on the Google Pixel 8 Pro, and all of it is available to watch on YouTube.”
The 2023 ARIA Awards in partnership with YouTube are proudly supported by the NSW Government through Destination NSW.
