2026 ARIA Awards Best Original Soundtrack or Musical Theatre Cast Album Entries – Privacy Collection Statement
ARIA is committed to protecting your privacy and handling all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This Privacy Collection Statement applies to all persons and entities that submit an entry and persons who are nominated, proposed or participating for an award in the category of Best Original Soundtrack or Musical Theatre Cast Album (the Award) for the 2026 ARIA Awards (ARIA Awards). It operates in conjunction with the ARIA Privacy Policy.
TYPE OF INFORMATION. As part of the entry process for the Award, ARIA may collect personal information about an individual artist, individuals within a cast or the contact person for an entrant, including individual’s names, postal address, photographs, biographies, social media handles, and contact and billing details. ARIA may also collect sensitive information about individuals, including their cultural and ethnic background, gender and sexual identity.
Where an individual’s personal information has been submitted by a third party on the entrant/ individual’s behalf, the third party warrants that they have the consent of the individual/entrant to provide ARIA with the individual’s personal information for the purposes listed in this collection statement.
PURPOSE. ARIA will only use the information provided via this entry process to:
process an entry for the ARIA Awards and determine an entrant’s eligibility for the Award;
provide to the judging panel to assess the entry;
contact entrants about their entry or nomination for the Award;
contact entrants about the ARIA Awards, confirm their attendance and for allocating seating;
provide information about the Award, ARIA Awards and relevant music industry matters; and
compile and publish aggregated statistics regarding the demographics of judges, entrants and ARIA Awards nominees and winners for the purposes of research, analysis and reporting. ARIA may also publish and share materials with relevant stakeholders and the media. ARIA will only publish aggregated data – this means the information will be anonymised and it will not be possible to identify an individual.
ARIA will not use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than the above primary purposes, where you have provided your explicit consent, and as required to do so by law.
If you do not want to share certain personal information with ARIA, then you should select the response option of “Prefer not to say” or any similar option as applicable. Please be aware, if an individual does not provide ARIA with certain information, it may not be possible for ARIA to process the entry.
STORAGE. ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect any personal information it receives from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Entries and personal and sensitive information held by ARIA is stored on ARIA’s password protected computer network. Access to information is only granted to authorised ARIA employees and contractors who, as a condition of their employment or engagement, must maintain confidentiality of all information they have access to.
