As It Was gives Harry Styles third week at ARIA Singles Chart #1

Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’ hits its third week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The Brit’s previous #1 single ‘Sign Of The Times’ (#1 Apr. ’17) spent only one week in the top spot.

‘Big Energy’ by American hip hop artist Latto continues its climb up the chart, this week moving four spots to #6. It’s the sixth week in the Top 50 for the song, which features Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled on a remix.

Lizzo scores this week’s highest debut, hitting #12 with ‘About Damn Time’. It’s the first track to drop from the American singer-songwriter/rapper’s fourth album, Special, set for release in July. Lizzo charted last year with the Cardi B collaboration ‘Rumors’ (#16 Aug. ’21). To date, her highest chart peak has been with ‘Good As Hell’ (#6 Nov. ’19).

In its fourth week in the Top, Willow Smith’s ‘Wait A Minute’ jumps up twelve spots to hit a new peak at #25. Appearing on Smith’s debut album, Ardipithecus, the 2015 single has more recently gone viral on TikTok.

Lauren Spencer-Smith’s ‘Flowers’ moves up 15 spots to #26 in its third week on the chart. To date, the track from the Canadian singer-songwriter has hit the Top 20 in both Canada and the UK.

Canadian star Justin Bieber collects his first new Top 50 entry of 2022 as he debuts at #28 with the Don Toliver-featured ‘Honest’. Bieber last charted with ‘Ghost’ (#11 Nov. ’21).

American singer-songwriter Benson Boone takes out his first Top 50 entry at #35 with ‘In The Stars’. Boone started uploading his music to TikTok, where he attracted more than 1.7 million followers. He caught the attention of Imagine Dragons front man Dan Reynolds, who signed him to his label Night Street Records

Releasing ‘10 Things I Hate About You’, Leah Kate makes her ARIA Singles Chart debut at #38. The American singer-songwriter has attracted attention on social media in recent years with previous singles ‘Used to This’ and ‘WTF’.

South Korean artist Psy hits the ARIA Singles Chart for the first time in almost a decade, debuting at #49 with ‘That That’. A collaboration with Suga of BTS, it’s the first single to come from Psy’s album Psy 9th, which was released on 29 April. Psy last charted with ‘Gentleman’ (#15 Apr. ’13). He previously spent six weeks at #1 with ‘Gangnam Style’ (#1 Oct. ’12).
