Taylor Swift’s The Life Of A Showgirl reclaims the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart following a two-week break thanks to 5SOS and Wicked: For Good. Taylor’s latest has now spent seven non-consecutive weeks on top. It’s her fourth longest-running #1 album behind Midnights (16 weeks on top), 1989 (Taylor’s Version) (14 weeks) and The Tortured Poets Department (eight weeks). The latter climbs from #21 to #16 this week.
The release of a deluxe version of Ed Sheeran’s Play sends it back up the chart from #19 to #13. It spent one week at #1 in September, becoming his eighth chart-topper.
Aussie folk, blues and roots duo Pierce Brothers debut at #14 with Moonrise. It’s Jack and Patrick Pierce’s seventh top 50 appearance and follows The Night Tree (#21 in 2014), Into The Dirt (#10 in 2015), The Records Were Ours (#9 in 2017), My Tired Mind (#31 in 2017), Atlas Shoulders (#13 in 2018) and Everything Is Bigger Than Me (#14 in 2024).

Christmas takes over on the On Replay Albums Chart, as Michael Buble’s Christmas jumps from #34 to #1, while Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You rises from #10 to the top of the On Replay Singles Chart. The top three singles are all festive themed: Wham’s Last Christmas is at #2 and Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree is at #3.
