Olivia Dean scores the chart double this week. The Art Of Loving returns to the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart after a nine-week break, making it two non-consecutive weeks at #1, while Man I Need stays at #1 on the Singles Chart for the fourth consecutive week.
Olivia is also at #6 with So Easy (To Fall In Love), which has been as high as #4, and Nice To Each Other, which holds at its #8 peak.
Kylie Minogue lands at #4 on the main chart, #1 on the Australian Albums Chart and #2 on the Vinyl Chart with Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped), an expanded version of her 2015 album Kylie Christmas featuring three new tracks. The original version peaked at #7.
It is her 21st top 10 album, including nine that reached #1: Light Years in 2000, Fever in 2001, X in 2007, Kiss Me Once in 2014, Golden in 2018, Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection in 2019, Disco in 2020, Tension in 2023 and Tension II in 2024.
The winner of 17 ARIA Awards and an ARIA Hall of Fame inductee in 2011, Kylie is the highest-selling female Australian artist of all time.
Lady Gaga’s current Australian tour sends her latest album, Mayhem, back up the chart from #17 to #5. It spent one week at the summit in March this year, becoming her fifth #1 album. Gaga is also at #1 on the On Replay Albums Chart with her 2008 debut The Fame. It hit #3 here in 2008, before its reissue The Fame Monster reigned at #1 for three weeks in 2010.
On the subject of tours, Kendrick Lamar’s visit to Australia puts GNX at the top of the Vinyl Chart, while on the Albums Chart it jumps from #21 to #7. It spent one week at #1 in December 2024 and returned to the top for another week in February this year.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) debuts at #11. It’s her third top 10 album followed the #1 hits Sour (2021) and Guts (2023).
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are new at #22 with Live God, recorded during their 2024 European tour. It’s their second charted live album: Live Seeds reached #47 in 1993. The band has scored two #1 albums: Push The Sky Away in 2013 and Skeleton Tree in 2016. Nick has won seven ARIA Awards and was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.
Sydney producer, DJ and singer Alison Wonderland’s Ghost World is new at #42. It’s her fourth studio album: Run peaked at #6 in 2015, Awake at #7 in 2018 and Loner at #9 in 2022.
The Most Australian Band Ever! – The Secret Origin of the Hard-Ons by Hard-Ons arrives at #54. Formed in Sydney in 1982, they scored their best chart performance in 2021, when I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken peaked at #4 in 2021.
Rounding things out, Mariah Carey holds the top spot on the On Replay Singles Chart with All I Want For Christmas Is You.
