BTS holds on top, Tame Impala lands top 5 single

K-pop stars BTS’ fourth chart topping album, ARIRANG, holds at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for the second week in a row, while Olivia Dean replaces herself at #1 on the singles chart. 

Tame Impala cracks the top five of the ARIA Singles Chart for the first time, as Dracula rises from #7 to #4, buoyed by a remix featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie. It holds at #1 on the Australian singles chart. Dracula is also on track to reach the top 10 in the UK this week and a top 30 hit in the US. 

ARIRANG is BTS’ second album to score multiple weeks on top: Map Of The Soul: 7 spent two weeks at #1 in 2020, while Map Of The Soul: Persona and Proof each spent one week at #1 in 2019 and 2022 respectively. 

Ye’s new album, Bully, lands at #3. It’s his 12th solo studio album and his first in almost four years. Collaborators on the new album include Don Toliver, Travis Scott, CeeLo Green, Ty Dolla Sign and Peso Pluma. 

Ye has now racked up seven top 10 solo albums: Graduation (#2 in 2007), My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (#6 in 2010), Yeezus (#1 in 2013), YE (#1 in 2018), Jesus Is King (#1 ion 2019), Donda (#1 in 2021) and now Bully. Watch The Throne with Jay-Z got to #2 in 2011, Kids See Ghosts with Kid Cudi reached #4 in 2018, Vultures 1 with Ty Dolla Sign got to #1 in 2024 and Vultures 2 also with Ty Dolla Sign also reached #1 in 2024. His compilation album Cruel Summer peaked at #7 in 2012. 

Melanie Martinez debuts at #4 with Hades. Her previous album, Portals, spent one week at #1 in 2023; she also reached #27 in 2015 with Cry Baby and #6 in 2019 with K-12

Raye’s second studio album, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE., arrives at #6. The lead single Where Is My Husband! peaked at #3 earlier this year and is at #9 this week, while Click Clack Symphony featuring film composer and music producer Hans Zimmer soars from #87 to #42. Raye’s first album, My 21st Century Blues, stopped at #97 in 2023. 

Swedish pop star Robyn scores her best chart result ever, with her ninth studio album (and first in eight years), Sexistential, new at #12. Until now, her best performer had been Honey, which got to #20 in 2018. 

Six-time ARIA Award winner Courtney Barnett is new at #1 on the Australian albums chart and #19 on the main chart with Creature Of Habit. It’s her fourth solo studio album, following Sometimes I Sit And Think, Sometimes I Just Sit (#4 in 2015), Tell Me How You Really Feel (#2 in 2018) and Things Take Time, Take Time (#5 in 2021). She also reached #5 in 2017 with Lotta Sea Lice, a collaboration with American singer Kurt Vile. 

Up Here (The Orchestral Album), the fourth Bluey album, is new at #31 (and #2 on the Australian albums chart). Bluey: The Album hit #1 in 2021, while Dance Mode! peaked at #7 in 2023.   

On the singles chart, Olivia Dean replaces herself at the top as Rein Me In – her duet with Sam Fender – rises from #2 to #1. It’s her second chart topper and his first. Before Rein Me In, Sam’s chart peak had been #57 with Homesick, a duet with Noah Kahan, in 2024. 

American country star Ella Langley lands in the top 10 for the first time, as Choosin’ Texas climbs from #15 to #10.

Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 classic Rumours reclaims the #1 spot on the ARIA On Replay Albums Chart, while Dominic Fike’s Babydoll holds at #1 on the singles chart for a second week.
