The late George Michael re-enters the chart.
After missing out on the top spot last year, Michael Bublé has hit #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a fourteenth week with Christmas. The album spent five straight weeks at #1 on debut in 2011. It went on to spend four weeks at #1 in 2012, three weeks at #1 on 2013 and one week at #1 in 2014.
With the untimely passing of English singer, songwriter, producer and pop icon George Michael, sales of his music have experienced a spike. Two compilations, Twenty Five (#9 Mar. ’10) and Ladies & Gentlemen... The Best Of... (#2 Nov. ’98) have re-entered the top 50 at #11 and #14, respectively. In the second half of the top 50, Michael's debut solo album Faith has re-entered at #53 and live album Symphonica hits #83. Wham’s The Final has re-entered at #80.
After debuting at #42 last week, the soundtrack to Sing has jumped 21 spots to #21.
Flume’s ARIA Album Of The Year winner Skin is up eight spots to #23.
Cold Chisel’s The Best Of Cold Chisel – All For You re-enters at #27.
