Dean Lewis hits third week at #1 with Be Alright

Moves for George Ezra, Calvin Harris, Sam Smith and more!

Dean Lewis notches up his third consecutive week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Be Alright’. The track has started to make inroads on a number of charts around the world, including in New Zealand, the UK and Ireland.

A week on from cracking the Top Ten, George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun’ moves up a further three spots to claim a new peak at #6.  The single is one spot below Ezra’s all-time chart peak, achieved with ‘Budapest’ (#5 Aug. ’14).

In its second week on the chart, Calvin Harris and Sam Smith’s collaboration ‘Promises’ jumps 16 spots to #14. The track is Harris’ second chart entry for the year, following the Dua Lipa collaboration ‘One Kiss’ (#3 Jun. ’18). Smith was last in the Top 50 with ‘Pray’ (#41 Nov. ’17).

Three weeks into its chart run, Bazzi’s ‘Beautiful’ moves up four to score a peak at #18. The American singer peaked at #11 in March with ‘Mine’.

The Rubens’ ‘Never Ever’ continues its steady climb up the chart, moving up three spots this week to hit a new peak at #21.

There are also new peaks on this week’s Singles Chart for Marshmello & Bastille’s ‘Happier’ (#25), Zedd & Elley Duhe’s ‘Happy Now’ (#27) and Loud Luxury’s ‘Body’ (#33).

Debuts:

#35: BTS ‘Idol’ – The week’s highest debut comes from K-pop group BTS and their track ‘Idol’. The single comes from the group’s compilation Love Yourself 'Answer', which has debuted at #9 on this week’s Albums Chart. An alternative version of the song features a guest spot by Nicki Minaj. The track gives BTS a third Top 50 entry after ‘Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)’ (#50 Dec. ’17) and ‘Fake Love’ (#36 May ’18).

#50: Jason Derulo x David Guetta Feat. Nicki Minaj & Willy William ‘Goodbye’ – Jason Derulo and David Guetta team up for the new single ‘Goodbye’. The song will feature on both Derulo and Guetta’s forthcoming albums, 2Sides and 7, respectively. Derulo last charted with ‘Swalla’ (#17 May ’17), while Guetta also sits at #48 this week with ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’ (#43 Aug. ’18).
