Moves for Fall Out Boy, First Aid Kit, Of Mice & Men and more!
The soundtrack to The Greatest Showman notches up its fourth consecutive week at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Sam Smith's second album The Thrill Of It All moves up six spots to #4 in its 12th week in the top 50. Its jump back up the chart coincides with tickets for Smith's November tour going on sale.
In its 31st week in the top 50, Imagine Dragons' Evolve moves two spots to slip back into the top ten at #10.
With their Australian tour in full swing, Foo Fighters' career-spanning compilation from 2009 Greatest Hits moves back up 19 spots to #11. The group's most recent studio album, Concrete And Gold, is up three to #15.
#3: Fall Out Boy ‘Mania’ – Fall Out Boy score their fifth top ten debut on the Albums Chart with Mania. The American band’s seventh studio release comes three years on from American Beauty/American Psycho (#3 Jan. ’15). They’ve also previously hit the top ten with Infinity On High (#4 Feb. ’07), Folie A Deux (#9 Dec. ’08) and Save Rock And Roll (#2 Apr. ’13).
#13: First Aid Kit ‘Ruins’ – Swedish indie folk duo First Aid Kit take out a third top 50 appearance on the ARIA Albums Chart with Ruins. It’s the sibling duo’s fourth album, following Stay Gold (#9 Jun. ’14) and The Lion’s Roar (#36 Feb. ’12).
#26: Missy Lancaster ‘Piece Of Me’ – Picton singer-songwriter Missy Lancaster makers her ARIA top 50 debut with Piece Of Me. Lancaster previously released a self-titled EP in mid-2016. She hits the chart following appearances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
#29: Of Mice & Men ‘Defy’ – With their fifth studio album, Defy, Californian metal band Of Mice & Men hit the ARIA top 50 for a third time. The follow-up to Cool World (#27 Sept. ’16) is the band’s first album to feature Aaron Pauley as the sole lead vocalist following the departure of Austin Carlile in 2016 due to health issues.
#30: Black Label Society ‘Grimmest Hits’ – Black Label Society release their first album in four years, Grimmest Hits. It’s the American metal band’s tenth studio album and third to chart in the ARIA top 50 after Catacombs Of The Black Vatican (#31 Apr. ’14) and Order Of The Black (#44 Aug. ’10).
