The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack holds at #1 for its sixth non-consecutive week on the ARIA Album Charts, tying with Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet as the longest running #1 album so far in 2025.
KPop Demon Hunters is the biggest chart-topper from an animated movie since the ARIA charts started in 1983. Trolls spent three weeks on top in 2017, Frozen two weeks in 2014, and Shrek 2 and Encanto one week in 2004 and 2022 respectively. The album’s HUNTR/X also holds the #1 single for the third straight week with Golden. All up, six tracks from the album are in the top 10.
Conan Gray’s new album Wishbone lands at #2. It’s his fourth top 30 album: he reached #26 in 2020 with Kid Krow, #8 in 2022 with Superache and #10 last year with Found Heaven.
The release of a special one-year anniversary vinyl edition sends Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard And Soft back up the chart from #16 to #4. It debuted at #1 in May last year and has spent five non-consecutive weeks on top.
American country singer Jordan Davis is new at #9 with Learn The Hard Way. It’s his third studio album; his second album, Bluebird Days, stopped at #82 in 2023.
Sydney-based deathcore band Justice For The Damned score their chart best, with Stay Relentless debuting at #13. It’s their third album: Dragged Through The Dirt peaked at #37 in 2017 and Pain Is Power hit #18 in 2020.
Taylor Swift’s announcement that her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl, will drop in early October sends several of her albums back up the chart. The Tortured Poets Department leads the charge, up from #29 to #14, while Folklore jumps from #25 to #17, Lover from #45 to #19, Reputation from #38 to #26 and Midnights from #63 to #34.
Mama Kin Spender’s Promises debuts at #20. It’s the second album from the Aussie duo of Mama Kin and Tommy Spender and their first chart appearance.
