Former One Direction member Niall Horan lands big on the ARIA Albums Chart this week, with “Dinner Party” debuting at #1, while Vika & Linda debut at #11 fresh from their induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame last night.

Niall reached #2 in 2017 with “Flicker”, #2 in 2020 with “Heartbreak Weather” and #1 in 2023 with “The Show”. As part of One Direction, Niall had four #1 albums: “Up All Night” in 2011, “Take Me Home” in 2012, “Midnight Memories” in 2013 and “Four” in 2014. 

Evanescence are new at #2 with “Sanctuary”. It’s their sixth studio album and sixth top 10 result. They hit #1 in 2003 with “Fallen”, #1 in 2006 with “The Open Door”, #5 in 2011 with “Evanescence”, #6 in 2017 with “Synthesis” and #3 in 2021 with “The Bitter Truth”.

American singer-songwriter Malcolm Todd scores his first top 50 album, as “Do That Again” arrives at #3. He is also at #10 on the singles chart with his 2024 track “Earrings”. 

In addition to #11 on the Albums Chart, Vika & Linda’s ninth studio album “Where Do You Come From?” also arrives at #1 on the Australian Albums Chart and #5 on the Vinyl Chart. 

On their success, Vika and Linda said: We thought this week couldn’t get any better. It’s ended with a bang!! We’re blown away by the response to the album. Thank you to everyone who got it to #1. We feel very lucky.”

The Bull sisters have now racked up five top 10 albums: “Vika and Linda” (#7 in 1994), “Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso)” (#2 in 2020), “Akilotoa (Anthology 1994-2006)” (#1 in 2020), “The Wait” (#2 in 2021) and their new one.  

Fellow new ARIA Hall of Fame inductee The Living End see their ninth studio album, “I Only Trust Rock N Roll”, re-enter at #35 on the Albums Chart and #3 on the Australian Albums Chart. It peaked at #5 in September last year. 

Rum Jungle land at #19 and #2 on the Australian Albums Chart with their second album, “Marginalia”. The indie rock band from Newcastle NSW reached #9 in 2025 with “Recency Bias”. 

The Pretty Littles are new at #36 with “Mulga Wire”; it also lands at #4 on the Australian Albums Chart. It’s the Melbourne garage-rock band’s ninth album and their first appearance on an ARIA chart. 

Taylor Swift sweeps to #1 on the Singles Chart with “I Knew It, I Knew You” from “Toy Story 5”. It’s her 14th chart topper following “Love Story” in 2009, “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space” in 2014, “Bad Blood” in 2015, “Look What You Made Me Do” in 2017, “Cardigan” and “Willow” in 2020, “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” in 2021, “Anti-Hero” in 2022, “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version)” in 2023, “Cruel Summer” and “Fortnight” in 2024, and “The Fate of Ophelia” last year. All up, she has now spent 35 weeks at #1. 

Taylor is now tied with Elvis Presley as the artist with the second most chart-toppers in Australia. The Beatles head the list with 26, although all of their and most of Elvis’ #1 hits pre-date the start of the ARIA charts in 1983. 

ARIA Award winner G Flip cracks the top 30 for the first time, as “Bed On Fire” climbs from #33 to #28. It has also reached the top 40 in New Zealand. 

No change on the On Replay charts, with Michael Jackson holding at #1 on the albums chart with “Thriller” and #1 on the singles chart with “Billie Jean”.
