Moves for SAINt JHN, Powfu, Benee and more!
The Weeknd makes it ten weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Blinding Lights’. The week the single hits double figures at #1 coincides with its parent album, After Hours, debuting at #1 on the Albums Chart. The last artist to have the #1s on both charts in the same week was Billie Eilish, who spent two consecutive weeks at #1 in April 2019 with the single ‘Bad Guy’ and the album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
The Weeknd also grabs a new entry this week at #13 with ‘In Your Eyes’. After Hours’ title track has jumped 31 spots to #17, while ‘Heartless’ has re-entered the Top 50 at #38.
For the second straight week SAINt JHN’s ‘Roses’ moves up five spots on the Singles Chart; this week it hits #2. The single is currently #1 in the UK.
‘Death Bed’ by Canadian artist Powfu jumps up six spots to #7, hitting the Top Ten for the first time in its fourth week in the chart.
A week on from cracking the Top Ten, Benee’s ‘Supalonely’ moves up one to claim a new peak at #9.
This week’s chart also includes new peaks for Surfaces’ ‘Sunday Best’ (#12), Tones And I’s ‘Bad Child’ (#16), Lil Mosey’s ‘Blueberry Faygo’ (#20), Endor’s ‘Pump It Up’ (#26), The Rubens’ ‘Live In Life’ (#27), Conan Gray’s ‘Maniac’ (#28) and 24KGOLN’s ‘City Of Angels’ (#30).
Following his passing at the age of 81, American country music legend Kenny Rogers returns to the Singles Chart with ‘The Gambler’. Rogers’ signature solo song peaked at #25 in Australia in April 1979. It was one of his 21 #1s on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart in the US.
