The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber reach landmark tenth week at #1 with Stay

Notching up its tenth week at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart, The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s ‘Stay’ takes outright second on the list of most weeks at #1 by an Australian artist on the ARIA Singles Chart. It now sits only behind current record-holder, Tones And I’s ‘Dance Monkey’ (#1 Aug. ’19), which spent 24 weeks at #1.

Ahead of the release of his fifth album, =, Ed Sheeran claims a third Top Ten single from it in as many months with ‘Shivers’ debuting at #5. The follow-up to ‘Bad Habits’ (#1 Jul. ’21) and the promo single ‘Visiting Hours’ (#3 Aug. ’21) becomes Sheeran’s 23rd Top Ten single on the ARIA Charts. = is released on 29 October.

With 15 of Drake’s 20 tracks from last week dropping out of the Top 50, there are many re-entries and moves up the chart this week. In amongst them, Doja Cat’s ‘Woman’ moves up 13 spots to a new peak at #17, and her track ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’ re-enters at a new peak of #30. Clinton Kane’s ‘I Guess I’m In Love’ also has a new peak, hitting #25.

American duo The Anxiety make their ARIA Top 50 debut with ‘Meet Me At Our Spot’. The track comes from the self-titled debut album by the pair – Willow Smith and Tyler Cole – which was released in March 2020. It’s recently become a popular song on TikTok, where it’s known as the 'caught a vibe' song.

Singer-songwriter Tai Verdes hits the ARIA Top 50 for the first time with ‘A-O-K’. The track comes from Verdes’ forthcoming debut album, TV, which was released in May of this year. Verdes first came to prominence when ‘Stuck In The Middle’ went viral on TikTok in early-2020.

Winner of the 2021 season of The Voice, Bella Taylor Smith, makes her ARIA Top 50 debut with ‘Higher’. The Sydneysider’s release becomes the first chart entry by a winner’s single from the Australian version of The Voice since Judah Kelly’s ‘Count On Me’ (#19 Jul. ’17).

American rapper Baby Keem makes his Singles Chart debut at #44 with ‘Family Ties’. A collaboration with his cousin, Kendrick Lamar, the track features on Baby Keem’s debut album, The Melodic Blue, which debuts at #21 on this week’s Albums Chart.
