2025 ARIA Innovator's Accelerate Workshop Applicant & Participant Terms and Conditions

Australian Recording Industry Association Limited (ARIA) is the organiser of the 2025 ARIA Innovator's Accelerate Workshop held on 26 March 2025 (the Workshop).  These Terms and Conditions relate to your participate in the Workshop. By accepting a place in the Workshop, you have confirmed that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. All applications for the Workshop are subject to these Terms and Conditions, the ARIA Privacy Collection Statement and the ARIA Privacy Policy.
  2. All participants of the Workshop agree to comply with the ARIA Behaviour Benchmark and the ARIA Code of Conduct. Participants agree to comply with any safety instructions or terms and conditions imposed by ARIA or the venue.
  3. Applications for the Workshop will open [9:00am AEDT] 30 October 2024 and close [5:00pm AEDT] 2 December 2024 (Application Period). Any application received after the Application Period has closed will not be considered.
  4. To apply for the Workshop, applicants must submit an application in the manner directed by ARIA and provide all requested information. Incomplete applications may not be considered eligible for the Workshop. Eligible applicants must be aged 18 years and over, and either reside or work within New South Wales, and must be able to travel to Sydney for events on 25 and 26 March 2025.
  5. Applications will be assessed by ARIA and the Workshop Facilitator on their merits and relevance to the Workshop. Successful applicants will be contacted by 7 February 2025 via their nominated contact details. ARIA’s decision is final, and ARIA will not enter into any discussions regarding the outcomes of any applications.
  6. Successful applicants will be offered a place in the Workshop and a ticket to the 2025 Innovator conference event on 25 March 2025 (the Event). The names of successful applicants may be published on ARIA’s website or used in promotional or other materials related to the Workshop, the Event or ARIA. Participants agree that their name, image, and/or likeness may be used by ARIA for the above-stated purpose in any media, worldwide and in perpetuity
  7. The Workshop will provide participants the opportunity to work with the Workshop Facilitator appointed by ARIA to discuss their projects, business and/or ideas and receive feedback. This discussion is confidential, and ARIA and the Workshop Facilitator will not publish details of the conversation or feedback participants received.
  8. ARIA acknowledges that participants retain all rights over ideas, concepts and intellectual property presented by the participant during the Workshop. ARIA will have no claim over any intellectual property rights in ideas, concepts, or works discussed during or resulting from the Workshop.
  9. ARIA makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the suitability of any feedback, suggestions or recommendations provided to the participants in the Workshop. Participants are solely responsible for making their own assessment on the feedback received. The feedback, suggestions and recommendations provided in the Workshop are not intended to be legal, business or financial advice, and participants should seek their own independent legal and financial advice. Under no circumstances is ARIA liable for any losses or damages (direct, indirect, incidental or consequential) arising out of or in connection with participants’ reliance on any feedback, suggestions or recommendations provided in the Workshop by the Workshop Facilitator.
  10. The opportunity to participate in the Workshop is non-transferable. Successful applicants cannot offer their placement in the Workshop to anyone else, and the opportunity to participate in the Workshop cannot be offered for sale or used in any incentives, promotions, advertising or competitions. ARIA reserves the right to withdraw the offer to participate in the Workshop to any person that breaches this condition. If you are unable to attend the Workshop, please contact ARIA.
  11. As a condition of participation in the Workshop, participants acknowledge and agree that they must attend the Event. Participants agree to abide by the 2025 Innovator Attendee Terms and Conditions as published by ARIA.
  12. Workshop participants are responsible for their own food, travel and accommodation costs associated with their participation in the Workshop and attendance at the Event. However if a participant requires assistance they should contact ARIA. ARIA may consider travel and/or accommodation assistance in the form of a financial contribution on a case by case basis.
  13. All attendees acknowledge that aspects of the Workshop may be filmed and photographed, and attendees agree that their likeness, voice and/or image may be photographed and/or filmed at the Workshop. Attendees agree that any photographs or recordings and individual’s names may be used by ARIA in any media, worldwide and in perpetuity in relation to the Workshop and ARIA’s activities.
  14. All participants acknowledge that there may be risks associated with attending the Workshop, such as airborne illnesses. ARIA and the venue will take all reasonable measures to minimise risks and look after participants, but all participants accept the risks associated with attending the Workshop and agree to follow any safety protocols in place for the Workshop and follow all guidance (including public health orders and recommendations).
  15. Although all reasonable measures will be undertaken to safeguard participants at the Workshop, illness or injury can occur. To the extent permitted by law, ARIA disclaims all liability for any loss, illness, injury or damage to any person or property at the Workshop, including but not limited to loss or damaged personal belongings.
  16. ARIA reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the Workshop or change facilitators. Unless required by applicable law, ARIA is not responsible or liable for any costs associated with travel, accommodation, loss of enjoyment or any other expenditure incurred by a participant of the Workshop, even if such costs arise as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or changes to the Workshop.
  17. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales and all parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. ARIA reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Amendments will be effective immediately upon publication on this webpage.
