#NewMusicFriday: Crowded House, Rise Against, Liz Phair and more out now!

ARIA Hall Of Fame members Crowded House return with their first new album in eleven years, Dreamers Are Waiting. The beloved group’s seventh studio album is the follow-up to the chart-topping Intriguer (#1 Jun. ‘10) and features a reconstituted line-up that includes Neil Finn’s sons Liam and Elroy, as well as producer/keyboardist Mitchell Froom.

American punk band Rise Against will be aiming for their fifth Top Ten on the ARIA Charts with the release of Nowhere Generation. The band’s ninth studio album is their first since 2017’s Wolves.

American singer-songwriter Liz Phair releases her seventh studio album, Soberish. It’s her first studio release in eleven years. Coming as the follow-up to 2010’s Funstyle.

Californian metalcore band Atreyu releases their eighth album, Baptize. The follow-up to 2018’s In Our Wake will aim to give Atreyu their first Top 50 entry since 2015’s Long Live.

British indie rock band Wolf Alice return with Blue Weekend. Their third album comes four years on from 2017’s Visions Of A Life. Their first two albums have peaked at #2 in the UK.

American musician Michelle Zauner releases her third album under the Japanese Breakfast moniker, Jubilee. Between Jubilee and 2017’s Soft Sounds from Another Planet, Zauner released her first book Crying in H Mart: A Memoir.

Former Cockroaches front man and Wiggles manager Paul Field releases his first solo album, Love Songs For Lonely People. The album includes collaborations with Kasey Chambers, Jimmy Barnes and more.

2019 ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees Human Nature release the new EP Good Good Life. The release includes their collaboration with Guy Sebastian, 'Broken Hearts'. It's the quartet's first collection of original material since Walk The Tightrope (#12 May '04).

Melbourne’s The Avalanches celebrate the 20th anniversary of their iconic debut album Since I Left You with a new reissue. As well as the original album, a second disc (or extra two LPs) features remixes from the likes of MF Doom, Cornelius, Prince Paul and Stereolab.
