#NewMusicFriday: Dolly Parton, Benee, Andy Golledge and more out now!

The legendary Dolly Parton releases her 48th solo studio album Run, Rose, Run. The singer-songwriter’s first album since A Holly Dolly Christmas (#37 Dec. ‘20) is a companion album to the novel of the same name, co-written by Parton and James Patterson. It features the singles ‘Big Dreams and Faded Jeans’ and ‘Blue Bonnet Breeze’.

New Zealand singer and songwriter Benee returns with the Lychee EP. It’s Benee’s third EP and her first new release since her debut album Hey u x (#22 Nov. ‘20). Lychee includes the singles ‘Beach Boy’ and ‘Doesn’t Matter’.

Missy Higgins releases the Total Control mini album. It’s the ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter’s first collection of new material since Solastalgia (#3 May ‘18). It features tracks Higgins wrote for ABC TV's political drama, Total Control, as well as her cover of The Motels' 'Total Control'. In between, Higgins released the compilation The Special Ones (#7 Dec. ‘18).

Sydney alt-country singer-songwriter Andy Golledge releases his debut album Strength Of A Queen. The album includes the singles ‘Love Like This’ and ‘Rescue Me’.

Australian indie-folk artist Darren Hanlon returns with Life Tax, his sixth album. The follow-up to 2015’s Where Did You Come From? was written and recorded in the Northcote Uniting Church Hall in Melbourne during the time Hanlon was caretaker there in 2019.

After nearly a nine year gap between albums, Belgian singer-songwriter/rapper Stromae releases his third album, Multitude. It’s the follow-up to 2013’s Racine carrée, which received wide acclaim and massive chart success, particularly in Europe.

American rock band Band of Horses return with Things Are Great, their first album in six years. The follow-up to Why Are You OK (#22 Jun. ‘16) includes the singles ‘Crutch’, ‘In Need of Repair’ and ‘Lights’.

Welsh rock band Stereophonics release Oochya!, their twelfth studio album. It’s the followup to 2019’s Kind, which became their seventh #1 album in the UK. Oochya! features the singles ‘Hanging on Your Hinges’ and ‘Do Ya Feel My Love?’.
