It's #NewMusicFriday! And we have a couple of big superstars fighting it out for this week's #1! As well as new releases from a couple of Aussie legends and up-and-comers. Let's take a look what's out this week!
Justin Bieber - Justice
A global megastar Justin Bieber releases his sixth studio album - JUSTICE. Alongside Bieber you will be hearing other global stars featured on the album such as Chance The Rapper and Benny Blanco. Before the album, Bieber released three singles Holy, Lonely and Anyone which have gathered over two billion streams worldwide.
Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails over the Country Club
Following the success of her previous 2019 Grammy-nominated album, Lana Del Rey releases her highly anticipated seventh studio album Chemtrails Over The Country Club. The tracklist for ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’ features 11 tracks, featuring the previously released lead single ‘Let Me Love You Like A Woman’.
The Middle Kids - Today We’re The Greatest
ARIA Award nominees The Middle Kids release their second studio album, Today We’re The Greatest. In addition to the new record, the Sydney band have also announced a three-date album launch tour, which will see the band perform headline dates in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney throughout May.
Andrew Farriss - Andrew Farriss
Co-founder of one of Australia's greatest rock bands INXS - Andrew Farriss releases his very first solo-album - Andrew Farriss. The album is different to the typical sound of INXS, with more of a country music flavour.
Troy Cassar-Daley - The World Today
Multiple ARIA and Golden Guitar winner Troy Cassar-Daley releases his 11th studio album - The World Today. Pulling himself from the dark time after losing his father, Troy found joy in writing with old friends and playing bass and drums on some of the rough demos in his home studio. Joined by friends and long-time collaborators - producer Matt Fell and engineer Ted Howard.
Ziggy Alberts - Searching the Freedom
Celebrating the start of a new chapter in the evolution of Ziggy Alberts the artist releases a new album Searching for the Freedom. The Independent singer-songwriter has been previously awarded ARIA Platinum accreditation for his tracks Gone, Runaway, Heaven and Stronger; along with a Gold Accreditation for his 2019 single Intentions (22).
Sting - Duets
Musical explorer and 17-time Grammy Award winner Sting releases a new album Duets. To celebrate some of his many collaborations, he has compiled a new collection that includes some of his most beloved duets with Mary J. Blige, Herbie Hancock, Eric Clapton, Annie Lennox, Charles Aznavour, Mylène Farmer, Shaggy, Melody Gardot, Gashi and more.
Harry Connick Jr - Alone With My Faith
American Grammy and Emmy Award-winning artist Harry Connick Jr releases a new LP Alone With My Faith. The album is written, performed, and recorded entirely by the artist while in lockdown.
Ringo Starr - Zoom In
The former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr releases a five-song collection Zoom In. Recorded at his home studio the EP is featuring global stars Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl and Finneas.
