#NewMusicFriday: King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Years & Years, Aurora and more out now!

Melbourne band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard release the remix album Butterfly 3001. The new release includes reworkings of tracks from their previous album, Butterfly 3000 (#2 Jun. ‘21) by the likes of DJ Shadow, The Flaming Lips, Peaches and more.

British electropop act Years & Years return with third album, Night Call. It marks the first album release by Years & Years as solo project for Olly Alexander, after the departure of Mikey Goldsworthy and Emre Türkmen. It’s the follow-up to Palo Santo (#26 Jul. ‘18).

Aurora releases her third album, The Gods We Can Touch. It’s the follow-up to 2019’s A Different Kind of Human (Step 2). In 2021 the Norwegian singer-songwriter hit #30 on the SIngles Chart with the 2015 track ‘Runaway’.

American indie rock band Band of Horses return with Things Are Great, their sixth studio album. The group’s first album since Why Are You OK (#22 Jun. ‘16) six years ago, is their first to include new members Matt Gentling and Ian MacDougall.

Six year on from Afraid Of Heights (#26 Aug. ‘16), Canadian rock band Billy Talent return with Crisis of Faith. The group’s sixth album include a collaboration with Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo on the track ‘End Of Me’.

American rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again releases the mixtape Colors. In 2021, the prolific artist released the album Sincerely, Kentrell, as well as the collaborative mixtape with Birdman, From the Bayou.
