Sam Smith releases fourth studio album Gloria. The body features the previously released title track which Sam Smith describes as “my queer love hymn”, as well as Unholy, featuring Kim Petras. Sam Smith already holds a #1 for In The Lonely Hour on the ARIA Albums Chart and a #1 for Too Good At Goodbyes on the Singles Chart.

 

 

American rapper Lil Yachty drops his fifth studio album, Let’s Start Here. The record is rumoured to be a “non-rap album” with Yachty describing it as “psychedelic alternative project. It’s different. It’s all live instrumentation.” Let’s Start Here follows 2021 mixtape, Michigan Boy Boat.

 

 

Green Day release their 25th Anniversary Edition of 1997 album, Nimrod which will include unreleased demos and a live album recorded at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, year of release. Previous records; American Idiot which we platinum six times, Dookie which went platinum five times and Father of All… have peak at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

 

 

Bob Dylan releases the last instalment in his Bootleg Series, Time Out of Mind Sessions(1996-1997): The Bootleg Series, Vol. 17 (Deluxe Edition). The record contains unreleased recordings including studio outtakes, alternate versions and live performances. Dylan’s platinum album Modern Times, previously peaked at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

 

 

New Order have reissued a Definitive Edition box set of their 1985 record, Low-Life which features a vinyl LP, two CDs, two DVDs and a book. In 1993, the band peaked at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Republic and in 1988 they peaked at #3 on the Singles Chart with Blue Monday 1988. 

 

 

New Zealand based artist Kimbra releases her long awaited, fourth studio album, A Reckoning. The body is her first since 2018’s Primal Heart. Kimbra has previously landed in the top five on the ARIA Albums Chart twice with Vows and Golden Echo and has won five ARIA Awards with three additional nominations.
