#NewMusicFriday: WAAX, Bella Poarch, Goo Goo Dolls and more

Indie-rock outfit WAAX release their second studio album At Least I’m Free, featuring single, Dangerous which was co-written with Linda Perry from 4 Non Blondes. The record follows Big Greif which debuted at #11 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2019. 

 

Bella Poarch releases her debut EP Dolls, featuring Build a B**ch which peaked at #28 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The record also features title track which was accompanied on release by a sequel to the iconic Build a B**ch music video. The video features cameos from an all star lineup including Grimes, Madison Beer and Euphoria’s Chloe Cherry. 

 

Brand new album Reset is a collaborative body by Noah Lennox as Panda Bear and Peter Kember as Sonic Boom. Peter Kember is a member of indie-electronic group Animal Collective while Noah Lennox hails from psych-rock outfit Spacemen 3. On the creative process, Kember states; “We were trying to do something that’s sort of nostalgic for a past that never existed and a future that never will exist”.

 

Following platinum award winning album Dizzy Up The Girl which peaked on the ARIA Albums Chart at #17 and Gutterflower which reached #23, Goo Goo Dolls are back with their 13th studio album, Chaos In Bloom. The body is the first to be produced by frontman John Rzeznik.

 

 

 

Cry Sugar is MoHawke Hudson’s 3rd studio album, featuring Cry Sugar (Megamix)/Bicstan, which was accompanied by a brightly coloured, psychedelic, kingcon2k11-directed visualiser. 

 

Indie duo, Sylvan Esso release their fourth studio album titled No Rules Sandy, featuring single, Didn’t Care. The record is a follow-up to the Grammy-nominated Free Love. On No Rules Sandy, the band say it “feels like who we actually are. It just feels like us. We’re not trying to fit into the mould, just happily being our freak selves.”
