Topping the ARIA Albums Chart this week with 30, Adele also returns to the top of the Singles Chart with ‘Easy On Me’. The British star’s third #1 single in Australia spent two straight weeks in the top spot on debut and has only dropped as low as #3 during its run on the chart. Adele has nine debuts in this week’s Top 50: ‘Oh My God’ (#6), ‘I Drink Wine’ (#10), ‘My Little Love’ (#11), ‘Can I Get It’ (#15), ‘Strangers By Nature’ (#18), ‘Cry Your Heart Out’ (#21), ‘To Be Loved’ (#25), ‘Hold On’ (#31) and ‘All Night Parking’ featuring the late American jazz pianist Erroll Garner (#33). Previous hit ‘Rolling In The Deep’ (#3 May ’11) has re-entered at #46.
In its second week on the chart, American DJ/producer Acraze’s remix of Cherish’s 2006 single ‘Do It To It’ has climbed 23 spots to hit #16. The original only peaked at #67 in Australia on release.
American singer-songwriter Gayle debuts at #17 with the single ‘ABCDEFU’. It’s the first ARIA Top 50 entry for the Nashville-based 17-year-old.
American band Imagine Dragons debut at #35 as they team up with rapper JID for ‘Enemy’ The track comes from the soundtrack of the animated streaming television series Arcane, which is set in the League of Legends universe. It’s Imagine Dragons’ first Top 50 entry since ‘Bad Liar’ (#20 Jan. ’19).
Taylor Swift’s 2010 track ‘Enchanted’ makes its ARIA Top 50 debut at #50. Featuring on Swift’s third album Speak Now (#1 Nov. ’10), the track has surged in popularity recently after going viral on TikTok.
