ARIA DJ Of The Week: Rory Marshall

Get to know the Melbourne DJ/producer.

This young DJ/Producer has been heavily active in Melbourne’s club scene since early 2011. You may have been lucky enough to catch him plugging in at regular club nights/haunts such as Revolver Upstairs, Circus, Pawn & Co, 161, Less Than Zero, Summer Series and a string of events for Void & Simple. Along the way, he’s warmed the room for stalwarts Oliver Huntemann, Pleasurekraft, Green Velvet, Project AKC and many more.

Aside from his DJ work, Rory has released two EP’s this year showcasing his love for house and tech-house. His most recent release ‘Oona’ came out earlier this month via local imprint Valiant Records and has already picked up support from KLP on her Saturday night ‘House Party’ show on Triple J.  Some of Rory’s other productions have seen support from Green Velvet, Benny Benassi, Todd Terry and heaps more local legends.

Whilst not shy of a few side projects, Rory has been a part of branded club night VOID which started in 2013, alongside 3 best mates in the backroom at Prince Of Wales. He’s also involved in a collective called SIMPLE, who run a unique batch of open-air day parties, specializing in hosting local talent from all over Australia.
